I have an '06 Grand Vitara and I have definitely considered replacing it with the Swift. I have really come to enjoy the Suzuki brand. My GV has 127k miles on it, and I have done absolutely nothing to it outside of tires and oil changes. Oh, and a bottle of water pump conditioner to quiet down the bearings.

Solid car. Great AWD system. Went through snow like it was nothing. I will definitely be looking at the Swifts in the near future.
    I <3 driving.

The Swift has a very good reputation around the world, why it isn't ALREADY here in the US is beyond belief, if you don't have a small entry level car in this market you are not a legitimate force in the car market.

    That includes VW too.

IIRC- the SX4 was Suzuki's answer for an Americanized version of the Swift since at the time (Since it is Swift based), small hatchbacks were not selling in the US (are they now???).

The compact and subcompact classes are the quickest growth markets in the USA. The hatchback market has increased substantially in the past decade.

sub compacts sell worse then a mainstream suzuki already sells. So it is exponentially undesirable regardless if it is a great car or not. The mini has alot of buyers who are mid life crisis or ego issues, suzuki will not fulfill either of those

sorry to talk trash on you mini owners but i've met over 10 and every one was a somewhat pitiful. Whether it was justifying your youth or your liveliness it was kind of sad considering you need a car to do that.

I can believe that, since it's almost as crude as the first Swift that was sold here.

I remember when the new swift was announced, and we ended up with the cousin, the SX4, I figured that was good enough.
