If you get tired of messing with it, I'd be interested in taking it off your hands, I'm over the bridge in south Jersey.

La Cimbali Junior D/1
Got this from a friend to see if I could refurb it. She just bought a old restaurant to make over and there was some old equipment left over from the prior owner. They told us we could keep some of the stuff, the most interesting being this machine. It was never used (was not a coffee shop) and you can tell. It is not rusting since it must be made up of stainless and alu, however it exhibits the signs of old metal, dull, "stained", rough surface texture...ect.
Also some stuff inside look disconnected or broken, that being said I have yet to plug it in, for that last reason alone. I'm pretty good with fixing electro/mechanical stuff like this, with a serves manual Im unstoppable... Anyway, before I start, I just thought I would ask in here since these forums seem to get people from every profession on the planet. Is it worth fixing, if parts are needed that is? The unit is Italian, so do we need to order and have shipped from that country? How hard are these machines to diagnose (to find the culprit part or parts)?
I'll try and get some pics and upload them tomorrow...
Ciao
Few people understand the psychology of dealing with a highway traffic cop. A normal speeder will panic and immediately pull over to the side. This is wrong. It arouses contempt in the cop heart. Make the bastard chase you. He will follow.

I must suggest that you should just make espresso using coffee maker because it is better. I think that is not quite good.
