If you have both stock and then a tuned set up, the way to tell is this. Turn the car off, have the key in, cruise control on. Hold down the "SET" button on the cruise control until the CEL Light starts blinking. When it starts blinking 1 time per second that is the first tune (most likely the stock one), and then when it is blinking twice per second (should be the tuned set) let go of the set button. Turn the key to the off position and turn it back on and let the lights on the dash cycle through and then start the car.

disconnecting doesn't reset the mode, however, it depends on what order the PO had the modes installed. For instance. My car has APR Stage I and I have (in order) 93, Stock, 100, Valet.

When you order the ECU upgrade, you designate the order you want as well as your security code.
