Broke my vr lip, then a axle, then a headlight went to crap. But made it. Thanks to a lot of people that helped fix my axle.

Hit a high spot in the road with in the first 100 miles and knocked the alignment out of wack and blew apart the inner cv boot. I made it even though the axle was just about done for. Changed it out in the show field and drove it home.

Gas station zip tie fix and 10 minute alignment some where in VA

Car I rode in had a coolant line crap out at midnight on I95, repaired with duct tape and made it the next 800 miles without an issue

Made it home on three cylinders due to a sliced spark plug wire, and knocked my alignment out of whack because of the beyond crap roads in West Memphis.

My buddy had to change a wheel bearing as soon as we arrived then after a spirited mountain drive his exhaust heat shield fell on to his downpipe and caught fire. Luckily someone noticed the smoke while the car was parked and called the fire department. Made it home with no drivers window, a shoty negative battery cable, and very wet engine bay.

Wondering who's car that was, dark blue B5 A4...a group of us were walking by as the fire dept was scrambling around trying desperately to break into the car. The car had stopped smoking i guess at that point cuz i remember thinking why the fvck are they trying to get into the damn thing few seconds later we hear shattered glass and they started goin to town with the water in the bay..safety first i guess.

I had this lovely number myself headed back monday morning, shortly after i got onto 85 south tire started separating..guess i got a little too frisky on my mountain run from early sunday evening

I had no issues but stopped to help a guy and his girlfriend who came from Florida in her Focus (battleship grey on white/polished wheels). Had a left front control snap in half and had to do some redneck fixin' to get home. Hope you guys made it back ok!

Left Orlando with 1st Gear only holding to 1500 RPM in my Automatic A8, got home still not holding first. She will however downshift from 5th to 2nd @ 50MPH no problem.

2014 will be A8 manual swap, 2013 for Corrado. See you bastads next year in the Corrado.

Coolant line gasket melted. Had overheating issues. Then something in the clutch broke.
I drove 9 hours back home with no clutch. That was fun

A few hundred miles outside of Louisville, KY my motor mount broke while sitting in traffic. Luckily I had a giant golden zip tie from the MK2 Meet.

Picked up one from a Louisville dude and drove home to MD with no issues. Not too bad for a 24 year old econobox.

We had a VR in our cruise from Toronto break down at the border with a clogged cat. Banged the crap out of it and ran it all the way down to Helen. New problems arised with the same car and it was smoking all the way there and back and it chugged over 12 quart of oil.

Wow, after reading some of you guys' issues I feel like my Mk1 Rabbit ran even more like a champ. During the 11-hour drive to SoWo I was having some overheating issues, particularly when in traffic, but simply burping the coolant lines of air fixed that. Noticed once I was in Helen (after hitting a control arm on one of the HUGE speed bumps at Country Inn) that my front tires were reeaally worn on the inside edge so I had to rotate them in the hotel parking lot. Then on the way home from SoWo Sunday morning my alternator gave out. Luckily I found one in stock on the shelf at an Advanced Auto in Alpharetta and got it swapped out in their parking lot.

The drive back to Arkansas went smooth though, no issues whatsoever aside from the horrible stretches of road here and there along the way. Coolant temp was good even in traffic, the worn tires (now on the rear) held up just fine, and the new alt plugged away at a steady voltage the whole way. I'll need to order a couple new tires and re-paint my new alternator case, but my little bunny is doing great!
