Hi
Fitted arp bolts to the main caps and noticed that the nuts dont cover the bolts flush
Is it safe to run like this or should i remove the washers?
Just spoke to arp technical support and the guy mentioned they dont do a kit for the 3.2L and the kit i have is for a 2.8/2.9 (P/N 204-5403)
Now since its only the difference of the washer, should i just back the stud out a couple of threads so the nut sits flush with the top of the stud?

I had the same picture on my VR 12V engine. Seems ARP main studs are a bit short. I didn't want to lose 1-2 nut threads so I backed that much the studs.

I would make ARP send me the proper fit bolts... I don't know what you are running but I have a high Hp R32 and don't have any room for guesses. Either way If you just backed the stud out from the block a bit and retained the washer then torques the nut cap to specifications then you should be fine as long as there is at least 3-4 threads covered in the block from the stud then it should hold.
Good luck with it man.

Ive run them like this on 600+ motor with billit main caps and no problems, they are a bit under cut but not a problem.

i backed out the stud so the whole nut fits. i used the crank scrapper as the washer and the side that had no scrapper I used a washer. No problems with the main caps or bearings.
