Thread: Frost Silver GLI on Vogtland Springs

  1. 05-21-2012 07:37 PM #1
Coming from a 2007 GTI loving my new ride. Lowered with Vogtland springs. Only springs I was able to find that would lower 2 in. without having to go coilovers. Will be blacking out the chrome soon. Sorry about crappy phone pics.

Did you stay on stock Dampeners? How is the ride in comparison to stock?

Yes I stayed on stock dampers, I like the ride better its feels tighter then stock no roll anymore. Feels alot better around corners.

Thanks, I bought the springs directly from Vogtland. Its a 50 mm drop which is 1.97in. Its the only spring that I had found to go that low im glad I found them because I didn't want to settle with something that I wouldnt be happy with. I really like the way that it turned out its been 3 weeks and its still settling. The part number is 950019/956035. Let me know if you have any more questions.

I've never heard of Vogtland, but I'm new to the German sport car scene. Are they a reputable company?

Very reputable German company. I had friends with Vogtland experience when I had my Audi.

Yes, it was all 4 springs. I called and ordered them because I wanted to be sure to get the correct ones for the Gli. They have great customer service too.

I'm personally not a fan of slammed cars but this is definitely tastefully lowered. Looks great!

They will wear out faster, but it isn't a huge deal. Instead of wearing over several years, they will need replacing after maybe 2 years or a little less.
