Thread: after replacing the converter

    they guy i had replace the torque converter said he pulled the G22 speed sensor out and poured tranny fluid in the hole. i think gear oil is in that hole. will this affect anything? my car wont shift into drive and it says no plausable signal from gearbox speed sensor

    Thats funny! G22 does put the gear oil in the diff. I "kind of" originated filling the trans section through the G38 sensor, instead of using the "fill tube" as the fill tube has a lock on it and requires "pumping the fluid "upwards" from the bottom up, whereas filling through the G38 sensor hole you can use a regular trans funnel and just pour it in. Point is, if he put the trans fluid in the diff then your trans is empty and your diff is overfull!

    he said he filled it in the g38 hole after he realized he probably shouldnt have filled it in the g22 hole. so will it hurt anything having tranny fluid in the diff?
