Saw that going back home on Sunday.

So Sunday we went to go on the run. We got held up by some pretty slow (bagged) cars so went back out for a run. We get to the top of Blood Mountain (129) and a Murcielago pulls in. So we walk over to him and first thing I notice is him on a walkie asking "how bad is the car?" So obviously the first thing I ask him is what crashed? He said a Ferrari backed it off the road and into the face of the mountain. We jumped in our cars and started heading down the mountain and were passed by a Aston Martin DB9, Lamborgini Gallaro, C63?? AMG Wagon, Carrera GT, GT3 RS, E92 M3, 3 Exige's, Viper, E46 M3 track car, and a few maserati's.
We pulled up to where the car was wreck and all you could see was the front. The car was pointing up in the air with the rear end in the ditch. I looked and the damage on the passenger side was not that bad at all and seemed to look just dirty. In my head at this point im thinking "why not just tow it out?". Well I was wrong. On the drivers side the rear wheel was push in almost to the door and fiberglass bodywork was everywhere. The guy was pretty cool about it and said it won't keep him from coming back. He owned a few other ferrari's as well.
Here is a bad cell picture.

^This is fact. Wish I had turned around when I started seeing people going the opposite direction at the right speeds. Slowed down to almost a stop to try and space out so the gt-r, M3s and I could do some work, caught up at unsafe speeds everytime. Should have turned around with everyone then I would have seen this crazy stuff.

supercars really do nothing for me, my passion will always be the peoples car.
those guys are so disconnected from what makes cars great.

LOL wow dumbest comment ever heard.. ill say some owners might be that way but a lot of them are just as big of car enthusiasts as anyone else in the scene and buys a car for raw performance and pure sexiness.. Whats a peoples car? a car thats modded or personalized? they do this to these also just way better starting on a platform thats made for power rather then something built for 150hp and economy and trying to make it a race car... the car built for it will be a hell of a lot more dependable sexier faster etc. I had my RS4 down there and as i dont consider it a "supercar" it is audi's Flagship model and I started off when i was 17 with a b5 a4, then a TT, then B6 a4 with iforged wheels coils k04 meth injection etc. then a holset hy35 rally audi a4 fully built now have My rs4 and B5 avant... and im 23... so to say everyone with a super car is disconnected what makes cars great is retarded those cars are the great cars its what everyone wants their cars to be like.. fast handle amazing, dependable, look hot

I ran through 75 and blood mountain with the group after the crash. These guys were very cool and respectful. When they stopped so the viper could get gas (lol). They mentioned how the Ferrari was in over his head trying to run with them. and gave props for my r32 hanging with them. I was with them for about 1- 1 1/2 hrs. I remember hitting 150 and was just trying to keep up! I will try to post soe video

I agree 100%. I spoke with these guys for a good while and they were all very nice and even gave me nice comments about my miata. Just because you have a lot of money and can afford a "supercar" does not mean you lose your passion for cars. They are in the car scene just like us. They mod there cars how they want and for some, drive them just as hard as everyone else.
I remember talking to a guy with a Audi R8 that was his track car. He said his first real car was a MkII GTi and to this day, he said it was the most fun car to drive and someday he will own another. I find that to be pretty cool.
Yeah, they were going pretty quick up there. The guys in the exige's are VERY fast. I have run with them a few times and have to push pretty hard to keep up.

I have a 'supercar' and come to SoWo every year. I love all kinds of cars for all kinds of reasons there is something cool about all of them. I belong to an exotic club and all we do is drive drive drive. Pretty sure I am well connected with what makes cars great.
