    PCM? never heard that term... I think you are referring to a tuned ECU. What year is the car that has the one the guy is selling? 6sp or TIP?

    PCM = ECU.
    PCM is the industry standard term (Powertrain Control Module).

    Here you go:

    2000 6 speed S4 = A box ECU (interchangeable with M Box but requires VAGCOM engine recode and a Hitachi MAF and housing)

    2000 Tip S4 = B box ECU (interchangeable with J Box but requires VAGCOM engine recode and a Hitachi MAF and housing)

    2001 6 speed S4 = H box ECU (interchangeable with M Box but requires VAGCOM cluster recode)

    2001 Tip S4 = J box ECU (interchangeable with L Box)

    2001.5 6 Speed S4 = M box ECU

    2001.5 Tip S4 = L box ECU

    2002 6 Speed S4 = T box ECU (Interchangeable with M Box)

    2002 Tip S4 = AA box ECU (Interchangeable with L Box)

    Take out your ECU, find the letter of the alphabet at the end of the Part #, then find out what the guy has and see if they are compatible.
