Note to self: Movies from 1990s including the sequel to Hot Shots now considered classic

Im talking about stuff made in the 90's....
yesterday at my friends house, we watched Hot Shots, Part Deux, after randomly coming across it on netflix. Needless to say we spent the whole afternoon crying of laughter because of it. I have seen this before, but when I was like 10 years old (now im 24), and I never got half of the jokes on there.
heres the trailer for it:
now i just think I have to go back and look at other stuff, like:
1. Don't be a menace
2. almost every Leslie Nielsen movie made
3. Hot Shots, first one
any other ones?

I love finding large images to add to my thread.
And as far as classic movies go, for some reason I absolutely love Wayne and Eastwood westerns.
My legend dates back to the 12th Century you see. My legend is quite old. The 12th Century was a long time ago. It was summer and so cold from the snow because it was actually winter or maybe it was Monday. It could have been a Thursday or possibly a Saturday or was it Tuesday though it could have been Wednesday or a Monday.

Classic? 1990's? You hate Black and White? Pfffffffttt...!
The Russians helped invent Hollywood, you know that?
Cue to the 6:00 mark to see the scene DePalma borrowed from Eisenstein.
But The Untouchables is from the 1980's, so maybe you never saw it.![]()

I don't understand irrational hatred for B&W movies. Does a world without color bother you so much that you can't follow the plot?
#11
Oops, more black and white, pre-1990. And silent, no less:
Amazing what a gifted artist with no color, no dialog, no green screen or special effects can do with only composition, light, shadow and an expressive human face.

More awful B&W. Night of the Hunter starring Robert Mitchum as a fake priest hunting children for hidden money. Frikkin' terrifying to see as a youngun! Mitchum's character had Love and Hate tattooed across the knuckles of his hands, and was the inspiration for those lyrics by The Clash. But you probably haven't heard of them, either. Because 1980's.![]()

Das Boot. Bar none one of the finest films of all time.
(watch it in German with subtitles though...huge difference)
PS: Dr. Strangelove is simply a must-see for any comedy fan or film buff. Believe it or not, one of my all-time favorite movies is Clue. I think it's one of Tim Curry's best roles.

Saving Private Ryan and Shindler's list are great movies of the 90's. This is very very tough to pin 90's movies to classics.
I still think Rebel Without a Cause is a classic.

Another B&W Robert Mitchum classic, Out of the Past

Always loved this movie, ABC always aired it around Easter time. I am also not a religious person.

Awesome B&W gems:
The Third Man (1949)
Double Indemnity (1944)
The Killers (1946)
Crossfire (1947)
Kiss Me Deadly (1955)
I personally guarantee that you will love all of these films.

Great line.
Kiss Me Deadly is the first-ever on-screen appearance of an answering machine, I believe.
