if 2000 is the asking price; it looks fare ; BUT a MINT;MINT wagon just sold this weekend in canada; vancouver area; with stage 4 charger job; 55000 kms on a rebuilt engine; and wagon syncro for 1600 in driving condition...
so 2000 for the rust; scratches; and electrical troubles on this one; it kind of does not comapre to the wagon...
on the other hand; for the guys in the usa; to have the car already inside the usa; it is a bonus...

there is nothing illegal about it.
the car could have been driven across the border by a canadian; sold on the spot and satid inside the continental usa.

Until a vehicle is 25 years old, you have to have it federalized by a licenced importer to *legally* obtain a US state title. Figure another $800-1K, depending on what needs to be changed; MPH speedo, maybe lights. Sucks hard, because you lose all the Euro goodness for US DOT crap.
There's ways around it, depends on the state, but most states bordering Canada are hardliners when it comes to this.
Unless you want to wait 6 years before you title it, most likely use for this car in the US is a drivetrain donor for the Syncro & G60, unfortunately.
