      Outback Rear brake pads and rotors.
      Maybe new clutch this year

      Previa Fuel Pump (drained tank last night)
      EGR Valve line clean out
      Rewire stereo w/ factory amp & sub
      Replace leaking coolant hose at engine
      Find oil leak (gasket)
      Flush differentials


      The Previa list was a lot longer just 2 months ago. I've been plugging away at it

      The problems with my car:
      It's a B5 A4
      A/C compressor has siezed
      Interior lights are inoperable (central locking control unit)
      Needs clutch
      Needs tires, uneven tire wear even with good alignment and new CAs/TREs
      Puking oil out of the front crank seal
      Front left door speakers are inoperable (door wiring harness)
      Left headlight has condensation
      Crack in one of the foglights, yellow film prevented worse damage and is holding it together
      Bearing noise from front end, haven't isolated it yet
      Minor leak at rear diff, level is ok
      Missing lower engine cover
      Tear in center armrest cover
      Front bumper cover is misaligned
      Various small scratches and dings, nothing out of line for age/mileage/use

      Repairs and maintainance since I've owned the car (Oct 2006, started at 117k, now at 197k:
      ABS control module
      Cam tensioner seals (x2, V6)
      Tie rod ends (x4)
      Front brake pads and rotors
      Rear brake pads and rotors
      Tires (a few times)
      Wheel bearings (x3)
      Timing belt/water pump
      Suspension (PSS9s and Bilstein HDs)

      I feel like I'm forgetting a few things.

      At least the heated seats work.
      Lately I have been testing "tip-in events". Just the tip-in. Just to see how it feels. Response time is typically on the order of 2-3 seconds. Sometimes the injection timing is a little off...

      2011 GTI:
      Nothing has gone wrong in 33,000 miles. This is honestly the first time I have EVER owned a VW (or any car for that matter, though I have owned 4 VWs and 1 Hyundai) that didn't have at least one thing broken.

      Engine coolant temp is running 1 notch warmer than normal. fans are working, coolant isn't leaving. hmmmm. gonna check tstat, but I think it might be the secondary waterpump. any way to test it?

      You'll hear your secondary waterpump keep running after you shut your car off in a VR6

      Slight oil leak on turbo side and an odd idle probably from a vacuum leak somewhere, coming up on the 105k service but aside from that the Forester runs like a top!

      Scirocco's old style parking brake lever needs to be customized again. The 3rd attempt at locking the notched piece to the body of the car. That little tab welded to the unibody is way underdesigned. Embarrassing to have to use a bar of aluminum or a piece of pipe to hold the lever up.

      Already have installed galvanized steel angles to reinforce the pivot pin area.

      Wish I could deduce how to convert to a newer design with one cable to the lever back to a force divider and then to each wheel. A very nice lever assembly from a 1985 Porsche is just sitting available.

      Fog light lenses broken.
      High beam out on one side.
      Fascia under pass. side headlight hanging loose.
      Head light mirrors corroded.
      Pitted and cracked windshield.
      Circ. air button light out of order.
      Pass. side window doesn't roll up or down, probably off its rails.
      Key works only hatch and ignition, and barely in the latter.
      Awful racket when in reverse.
      Power locks don't.
      Suspension is in dire need of replacement.
      None of the doors lock, except driver's door, and that one only with the button.
      Mushy brakes.

      Front brake pads and rotors seemed to have been glazed and even though I roughed them up moderately, they still give off an ear bending squeal.

      Could use a front bumper thanks to a hit and run and meeting a suicidal cat at 90kmh, and the back bumper has been run into a few times and could use a repaint, windshield has about a million rock chips, the brakes are mushy and front rotors are warped, aftermarket gas cap = constant CEL, It has a weird squeak in the front end and more rattles than every other car I've ever driven put together, and rides like s**t. I could afford something newer but for whatever reason I still like the POS and with the exception of one wheel bearing its been dead reliable for over 70 000k now and I just cant justify getting rid of it.

      Edit: just remembered the drivers door is pulled forward from betting caught in a gust of wind which busted the thing that tells wether the door is open or closed so the lights don't turn on when the drivers door is opened.

      In the GTI, need to diagnose a boost leak.

      In the Porsche, too many things to mention

      The Golf is doing good so far.
