Thread: Thinking about buying a brand new bike

    thinking about going to my LBS to buy a brand new bike

    all they sell is Specialized so i would be getting a base Allez..there website says that have discounts on previous year models....how do you think a discounted base allez will cost?.....i wanted to go down there today but decided to take a nap instead

    is it worth it?

    Yes, the nap was definitely worth it. Now you'll be well rested when you go the bike shop.

    It's not much off. Probably $100 or 200... provided that they have something in your size they can sell you. Does the LBS have a website to check?

    The discount on a bike at that price point, like mentioned above, should be between $100 and $200. I have purchased left over bikes in the past, but the bikes I have been looking at this year are all more attractive in the current model year color schemes
