Thread: OBD Scanner Won't Connect.

Hi. I need some help. Here's my story : I was driving the past 9 months with a check engine light on because my system was running lean and spitting the p0171 code. One day the check engine light didn't come on so I immediately went to the emissions place to get my emissions thinking it might pass. Turns out the light bulb was burned out and still spitting the same code. I checked my hoses and found a cracked hose in the vacuum system. I replaced the hose and had autozone erase the code. 2 weeks later I had the car scanned again and no codes were in the system. Yesterday I replaced the Check Engine Light Bulb. The light shows up before starting the car, but once the car is started the light goes off.

So, thinking that everything is now cool I went to get my emissions again. Now it won't connect to the scanner at all. UGH! Any Ideas? I saw the aftermarket radio link, but It scanned just fine the last few weeks with the same aftermarket radio that i've had for a year.

    Thanks.

This forum is for VCDS not OBD2 generic scanners.

Post an auto-scan, or if a genuine customer contact RT.
