So I have been reading all of the threads of the dogs and cats and figured I would add my own. I currently have three dogs and love them all so much. The first is my boy Neiko, I have had in for almost 4 years now. He is a Husky Rotty mix. He has my attitude 100% lol. So hyper and loving, hes the type of boy that will lay in bed with me till I get up even if my wife gets up and leaves the room he waits for me.

and one of my hug goodbye before I left on deployment, I return in two weeks and can not wait to play with them.

The next is my girl sasha, My wife found her while i was on det about two and a half ago now. My wife was walking Neiko to the store with her and found Sasha walking down the street. She was dirty and very hungry looking. So my wife brought her home bathed her and fed her. On skype that night she told me about her and asked about keeping her. With my love for dogs I couldnt say no.
    After her bath

Now she had some issues, I think the people that owned her beat her because when I came near to take her outside she would wimper and pee on the floor everytime. Well now shes better and so much happier. Heres a current photo.

and last but not lease I have Aava, shes a American Bulldog, but kind of a small one. I returned from my first deployment a year and a half ago. My wife and I went to walmart a couple days after I returned and when we came out there was a guy outside with her tied to a piece of rope, no collar no leash just a rope tied around her neck. I bent down to pet her and the guy asked if I would like to buy her. Well the price he told me was a bit much for me at the time and I told him I couldnt afford and but I wished I could. I had 200 cash on me and my wife had 50 so I offered it to him, and promised a good home and to stay in contact. Well he accepted and I added him to my facebook. He comments on her photos whenever I update it. He loved her so much that he knew he couldnt give her a good home. People like that are just awesome and I appreciate the way he treated her. So here she is Aava.

I took her to the vet that minute and the vet knowing me and how I treat my pets and knowing I like to rescue animals when i can, came in and checked her over for free. She was nice and healthy just a little hungry

and here she is a few months after we got her. Looks so much healthier

Awwww rescue is the only way to go in my opinion! I rescued my dog, and 4 of my snakes. Awesome dogs!
