    Greetings!

So after owning a 2008 2.0T TT Convertible up until January of this year when I got my 2008 A3 2.0T I used to love the sound of the exhaust with the top down, something guttural about it that that was, well, freaking sweet.

I realize the A3 is a different car (although some shared components and such with the TT) but my question is, what's a cheap and easy way (novice here) that I might be able to modify the exhaust or replace a component or two to get that "sound" back. Obviously I don't want to Rice the thing, or make it sound necessarily like I'm running a Shelby, but just to give it that little audible "cool" that I'm missing in changing cars. Any suggestions?

Get a 3" downpipe (and stage 2 tune) and you will be happy

Edit: Or if you just want more sound, you could do a resonator delete on the stock exhaust.

Anyone have a DIY for the latter? I didn't see one in the thread.

I am also interested in that upgrade! Can you guys recommend any particular brands. I am not interested in getting it chipped or anything like that. I just need a new muffler and "might as well" make it sound a little better - but nothing crazy .
