    You have an illness...

How many have rust holes above the muffler?

well those other have been in the past. number seven will be the only one currently owned.

    1. had rust issues and NSS, which finally made be get rid of it. 2. had a salvage title and some rust off that one went., only other one with some rust was #4

bad rust on number one, plus it had rust through in the front floors so if i went through big puddles fast enough i would get water spraying up on both sides in the front.

i do have an illness. i love finding deals and buying and selling cars. here's the list so far of cars i've owned.

I know the feeling! Though I've only owned 3 XJ's, I'm on my 8th "Cherokee" of some sort:

    1. '87 MJ 2.5L 4spd (yes... stupid HS photo)

    2. '90 XJ 4.0L AX-15
no picture... it was rusted out and didn't last long.

    3. '90 XJ 4.7L (stroker) AX-15

    4. '93 ZJ 5.2L Limited

    5. '98 ZJ 5.9L Limited

    6. '08 WK 3.0L Overland Diesel

    7. '10 WK 5.7L S-Limited

    8. '98 XJ 4.0L Classic

7 and 8 are my current Jeeps... the XJ is becoming the DD and the WK is getting bigger

Not only is it an addiction... its a serious health problem. Oh well back to huffing paint and solvent fumes in the garage

    Nothing wrong with this

I'm addicted to my '96 two-door with a five-speed, magenta from the factory. Anyone else have a magenta XJ? I can't find any other ones anywhere.

yeah MJ's look amazing when they're lifted... rough country has a 6.5'' lift kit for then now for like $1000... if i ever find a stock MJ in mint condition for cheap it'll be my next project, they're hard to find these days

I've been drooling over the MJ's since 1987 when the "sport" package with 6 cylinder and 5 spd (2wd) could beat a 87 vette in the 1/4. There was a guy I used to see running around in one with a 2 or 3" lift and hurricane rims, it was one bad mamajama

I had an 88 MJ with the Metric Ton package when I lived in Seattle. Really liked that truck but it wasn't worth bringing it down to Texas. I also thought the lack of AC would be a huge issue but now I often drive around in an LJ with just a safari top The MJ was decarpeted though and had a lot of heat coming up through the floor. It had a lot of rust around the fenders but other than around one of the drain plugs the floor was completely solid. Oh and the fuel tank was partially rusted out so the first time I filled it up all the way it started leaking. $40 replacement tank off Craigslist fixed that.

I've never been the biggest fan because I find them super-cramped up front for my big body, but people who own them seem to love them and you can find some great deals on them, that's for sure.

I will play....my future addiction just started

    86 MJ 2.5 5 speed 2wd no rust $575
first day -first jeep(about 3 weeks ago)
Uploaded from the Photobucket Android App

after last night, took eldorado trail as far as I could with some friends at work-when he told me to put it in 4 lo is when he learned that was not an option-he wondered how I got as far as I did only casualty was a d/s outer mirror and the tire clearancing the fender at full (stock) articulation

Uploaded from the Photobucket Android App

84 XJ 2.5 904 4wd with hell of a rod knock but 4.56 front and rear $300 (delivered tp my house) full of parts I need-only rust is in the doors..after last night I now want to make it the crawler toy-have to figure out how to get title here in Nevada (supposedly a pita ) but still can be used to make the Comanche 4wd daily, as the dana 30 probably wont last in real off road stuff

Uploaded from the Photobucket Android App

I see some of the projects people take on to fix rust......ouch

It's been too long since I've been in a Cherokee but at 6'4" 270ish I was plenty comfortable in my Comanche. The bench seat might have had something to do with it.

well ive got connections with a machine shop. i work 60 hours a week at least as a tech at a local shop. so i guess i just want a brand new engine you know? + the 96 has a better front axle setup as opposed to the 89. i was almost thinking of building the 96 the same as my 89.

I go through cars quick looking at an AWD replacement for the Cherokee tomorrow. Then this one might be up for sale.

Hints, it's AWD and it can tow more, seat more, gets about the same gas mileage as a cherokee.

Here is the next vehicle. Although I have been waiting on selling the Jeep since I have a family member interested.

Just about the same MPG, more cargo and passenger space, and more towing capability.

No this one will stay stock, it's AWD so I nice replacement to the Jeep (since it's pretty much only been mall crawling).

If it was a RWD Astro I would consider a swap.
