I am really sorry for the delay in getting this posted and notifying everyone of the results sooner. It was an absolutely crazy weekend, and we simply didn't have enough time/staff to cover everything until having gotten back to the shop.
I first wanted to take the time to thank the staff of Bigg Daddy's, not only for providing the venue for the event and welcoming everyone, but for practically demanding that we hold it there. They were just as excited to have us as you all were to be there, so they deserve some appreciation!
Also, thank you to the town of Helen, and the police department for allowing the minor traffic delays due to the masses of people trying to get into the event. The turnout was better than expected, and we're really please all of you came out to partake.
With that said, I have gone over all of the information that was recorded at the event, and we have determined the winners for different categories.
With that in mind, however, please let me clarify a few things so as to avoid any controversy regarding the winners. As this is a Euro oriented event, the decision was made that we are going to focus on the Euro vehicles as the winners for the event.
Also, I was the only person both recording the vehicle information as well as the heights, decibels, etc., as well as taking pics of each car, and the cars were rolling thru quicker than I could keep up with at all times, so some information was unfortunately missed. Also, some people drove away before I could record their info, so they weren't factored in. I am fairly certain, however, that I recorded the info correctly for the winners, so like it or not, that is what we are going by.
I apologize in advance if this is unsatisfactory to anyone, but we will try to have a few more staff in place next year to ensure complete recording of all relevant info, and we will try to allot more time and define the rules ahead of time.

I'll take that honorable mention with pride. My $300 dollar winter project, which I learned to weld on, (floors, rockers, pinch welds, rear beam mounting points, and any other areas needed to make is safe to drive) made it the 1600 miles round trip and was the lowest vw at that specific event.
