After a year of scooter ownership, the novelty of it wore off and it was time to get back to a traditional motorcycle. So off to my local dealer I went, said goodbye to the scoot and hello to this:

A 2011 Suzuki TU250x with 1700 miles on it. This thing is an absolute joy to ride. Pretty smooth for a thumper, fuel injected, and gets up and goes just fine for a little bike. At about 380lbs wet, it's almost 100lbs lighter than my Kymco 250 scooter, so it feels much faster and is way more nimble. It also fits my 5' 8", 30" inseam frame to a tee. Love the 3/4 Bonneville style, too!

Only mods planned are some supplemental LED running/tail lights, and maybe go up a tooth on the front sprocket for a bit more high speed smoothness.

Feels good to be clutching / shifting again!

I love a lightweight bike for a commuter.

When I took the MSF class back in 2006 I learned on a Suzuki GZ250 which I think has the same basic engine...except I believe the GZ was carb'd. Such easy bikes to ride. What I like about the TU is that it almost disappears underneath you if you know what I mean.

haha yeah. they had the tu250x last in line, and everyone else was running to a bike to pick. I just walked real slow to the last bike. ended up i got the only bike that was FI and not carb'd lol
