Nice to see Honda finally catching up to what nearly everyone else did years ago - bluetooth standard across the range.

Everything else sounds good... I'm just a bit confused on the touchscreen audio part from the EX-L model. So there will be an 8-inch screen from base model up till EX-L... then a different non-navi touchscreen just for that model AND then a different navigation dash setup?

Seems strange to feature three different screen selections.

That's a pretty respectable list of standard features for the LX model.

The entry (?) trim seems well-equipped.

The "(?)" is because no more stripper VP trim?
Thoughts expressed are those of the poster and not those of some long dead guy who I choose to speak for me.

•JUL. 13 - On August 8, Honda will release the first images of the all-new 2013 Accord. The world will have to wait even longer--until September 5, to be exact--to know the vehicle's specs, technologies, full trim breakdowns, and other details. But some bits of information about the 2013 Accord have been shared here and there over the months, so here's a summary of known details about the new Accord to whet the appetite:

    - The 2013 Accord will feature three all-new powertrains: a 2.4-liter direct injection engine with a new Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT); a V-6 with a new 6-speed automatic transmission; and a two-motor plug-in hybrid system. (See below for more details.)

    - The 4-cylinder will be the first U.S. application of Honda's Earth Dreams Technology.

    - Both the 4-cylinder and V-6 (coupe) will be available with a 6-speed manual transmission.

    - The Accord will mark Honda's first application of available Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Forward Crash Warning (FCW) technology.

    - It will offer a Honda-exclusive visibility innovation called "LaneWatch," which uses a camera system mounted on the passenger side mirror combined with a screen in the center of the dash to provide a wider view of the passenger side roadway.

    - A rearview backup camera and an Expanded-View Driver's Mirror will come standard.

    - Also standard will be an i-MID screen, Bluetooth HandsFreeLink®, SMS texting capability and Pandora Internet Radio Interface (with compatible phones).
    - All Accord models will get ECO Assist, which provides visual feedback to the driver to promote and confirm more efficient driving styles.

    - With a new 2.4-liter direct-injected engine, the 4-cylinder Accord will produce more than 181 hp and 177 lb-ft of torque. It will have a new Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) with a new "G-Design Shift" cooperative control system for excellent acceleration and responsive shifting.

    - The V-6 Accord won't get direct injection, but the new 3.5-liter, 24-valve, SOHC, i-VTEC V-6 engine featuring Variable Cylinder Management (VCM), paired with a new 6-speed automatic transmission, is expected to receive a class-leading highway fuel economy rating from the EPA.

    - The Plug-in Hybrid (P-HEV), which will be the first U.S. application of the Honda plug-in hybrid system, will have a 2-motor electric drive system paired with a 2.0-liter Atkinson cycle engine and an electric CVT (E-CVT).

    - The P-HEV will have an all-electric range of 10-15 miles with an all-electric top speed of 62 mph and will feature three different driving modes: all-electric, hybrid and direct-drive engine.

    - Recharging the P-HEV's lithium-ion battery will take less than 1.5 hours using a 240-volt outlet.

    - Accords for the U.S. market will be built at Honda Manufacturing of America's (HAM) Marysville Auto Plant (MAP).
