A source of ours with dealer ties dropped us a note this week with reported pricing for Audi’s upcoming new S-cars. The information has been hotly anticipated, so we felt it worth reporting with one annotation. We have not seen the dealer announcement first hand that included this information. We believe it to be true but have been unable to verify ourselves at this time. Prices reflect MSRP.

Audi S6 Sedan – $71,900

Audi S7 – $78,800

Audi S8 – $110,000

The focus of our intel was based around the S6, cars that are suggested to be coming through mainly loaded. The Prestige level of equipment will include Audi connect with Google Earth navigation and Wi-Fi, Audi Advanced key, four-zone climate control, BOSE Surround Sound System and Audi parking system plus with rearview camera. 19-inch 5-parallel spoke wheels will be standard with 255/40 summer tires. 20-inch 5-parallel spoke Star design wheels with 255/35 summer tires will be optional. Xenon plus adaptive headlights will be standard with full LED headlights optional. Last, there will be an Innovation Package that includes Audi active lane assist and top view camera system, Audi pre-sense plus, Adaptive Cruise Control, audi side assist and Head up display with night vision assistant. We’d expect the S7 would include similar packaging.

The S6 is also noted as having a surprise (rear early) retail date of this fall. Earlier we’d been told the S8 would make it by then but that the S6 and S7 may not come until next calendar year. It seems Audi’s mantra of “under promise and over deliver” is alive and well as it relates to S-car deliveries.
