I just spotted a ton of GB3k cars driving up I-81N through Syracuse, NY. They just took off from NYC today and are headed to Toronto tonight. Has anyone else spotted any cars or celebrities? I stopped at a few major gas stations off the highway in hopes to walk into Ken Block fueling up but I had no luck.

If anyone has a list of what car each driver is using please post!

    This is interesting.

I saw an M3 coupe (looked modified) with Gumball 3000 decals, etc., out here in Las Vegas last week. Either it was getting ready to be transported to NYC, or it still had decals from a previous Gumball

I believe that guy with Aventador, the one that wrote to Jalopnik, is in it as well.
Look at your signature, now back to mine, now back to yours, now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn’t mine.

If anybody is interested in learning more about the Gumball and other endurance racing, I highly suggest picking up a copy of Alex Roy's The Driver

That book sucks. Unfortunately I own it from several years back. That guy is irrelevant.

Went to a club/bar last night where a bunch of the Gumballers were hanging out. One guy told me he was running a modified GT-R, another said his '67 GT500 didn't survive transportation to NYC and he was forced to 'only' enter his Gallardo Spyder in the race. The number of hideous leather jackets was off the charts, even for a trendy NYC club. Still, nice people.

some sweet rides, i think if i had to do 3000 miles, it sure as hell wouldn't be in something as rough as a Lambo or a GT3,

i'd pick a phantom, a Range Rover HSE, even a MB SLS is nicer in terms of cruising.

they are going to have some sore ass-cheeks by the time this is over! great looking vehicles though!

Olson is running a tuned R8 and gallardo. There is a guy from my area that is running a 458, and also taking it on the gold rush ralley in two weeks!!! Crazy, cross country twice in three weeks.

My friend called me from the 90 last night said he saw a SLS, couple ferrari's, a Veyron and others leaving a rest stop outside Syracuse so I took a ride over the a spot on a side street to see if anything cool came by. Ended up seeing a SLR, Aston and Murci. Also G-wagen and Escalade all stickered out. Never saw the Veyron and friends though.

i was planning on going into nyc yesterday to hang out with a couple friends, one of whom just left to go back home to australia, and decided to head in a little bit early to catch the start of the rally.

i got to times square a couple minutes after noon, right when they started rolling out and there was a huge crowd. snapped a ton of pics.

    the dudesons lolll

there were two fiskers in the running as well, only got decent shots of one.

    mmm ferrari

    astons

    lone bugatti

started realizing i couldnt get any good shots or even see the cars all that well from where i was so i started moving down the street.

    that jalopnik guys lambo

this car was way too sick, and driven by a sexy lady as well.

    summa arab money

    winning lambo again

    jon olsson's cars

458 looks soo good in person

    v6 mustang?

    this thing

love the race car shout out

totally whiffed this shot but the aventador was sick

    dudesons apparently ditched their jetski

    tcl approved hoss wagon

this is where my phone started to lag up under the strain of taking so many pictures

    and it gets worse...

    over corrected for lag.

they just kept coming...i think there were over 100 entrants this year.

    some porsches

    lol

    wtf was this?

    another minivan

and this is the owner of the morgan car company, i couldnt imagine driving that car across the country but props to that guy and his wife.

    bonus ducati

This is just too cool and must be one fun ride. Call me jaded, but I think this is more of an interesting car then most on the tour. It takes a pair of pretty big grapes to try and drive one of these cross country, more so then any store bought Lambo or Ferrari.
