Going on vacation to europe in a month and going to be renting a car for a total of 16 days. The price between gas and diesel for the same car is about $240 CAD, that cheaper for the gas car. I figure ill cover about 2000 km in that span. I was wondering if the diesel car is worth the extra expense?

I recommend the diesel, mainly because you will get more out of a tank. the prices are high there for example in Germany it is about 4.5 euros for a liter of gas.

Last time I was there, that was the price. Mind you it was well over a year ago. Also what is the currency of the site?

That page was listed in CAD/Litre. You can change it at the top.

Depends on where you are. I rented all gas cars when I was there last summer. Gas is about $2 cad/l I think if you are going to germany look at sixt.com for better rentals.

4.5 euros doesnt sound right, maybe 1.5 euros because 4.5 euro is lk 6 bucks canadian which seems ridiculous
