Funny, but the Turbo does nothing for me. So GT3. In reality, though, I bet the Turbo is a much easier car to live with. But if I got to choose either, I'd keep my Golf for daily duties and use the GT3 for track visits and weekend drives.

    997 Turbo S for sure.

I like the mod potential and shifting doesn't make for better high speed runs.

Mod potential? It does 0-100 in 6.3 seconds... How much quicker would you want to go?

Seriously... the Turbo S would embarrass a McLaren F1, well at least off the line with launch control

I've yet to meet a modern car you can't drive every single day of the week unless you're a massive *****.

OK so I knew the turbos were fast.... but 1/4 mile in 10.8? HOLY CRAP.

I'll take one please. Plus it will be easier to live with on a daily basis. I'd drive the hell out of that car.

Toy - GT3 (tho why not an RS?)
    Everyday - Turbo S

I'd drive either tho as I don't think I'd be bummed about "only" having the S or the GT3.

    Gt3.

I know the turbo is faster. I don't care. The gt3 is fast enough, and sounds better.

if one is of the means, the answer to this question should always be turbo... unless you already have a turbo.

You can't argue with the performance of the Turbo S but I would prefer the GT3. I tend to prefer cars that are more on the raw side and I like normally aspirated motors over boosted ones, especially in a toy that will see some track duty

Agreed. A GT3 in snow seems like a recipe for trouble (not the fun kind). And while I agree that the stock exhaust on the Turbo S leaves something to be desired, there seem to be any number of delightful aftermarket alternatives available
I like things with two wheels and things with four wheels.

i went with the turbo s. i feel like the gt3 would be a pain in the ass to slide in the dry so might as well go with the awd.

    I'm an autocrosser, so GT3.

If I didn't do any competitive motorsport, Turbo all day.

I think I might prefer the Turbo S, but for the price difference, I wouldn't buy it over a GT3.

As far as 997s go, I like a lot about the GTS as a good balance between sporty and extreme.

If I had another car, easily the GT3.

    If I didn't, I'd take the Turbo S, sell it and get a used GT3 and a 335xi.

The S is really sexy in that blue with those wheels, and I know it makes more sense, but no 997 is sexier than the GT3, RS or not.

GT3. Imo it's the more exciting car, it's the more involving car to drive, and it's the more rewarding car to drive. I even prefer the details aesthetically to the Turbo.

If I don't have to pay for it, Turbo S.

    Because it is more expensive.

Are we assuming that we can't modify the vehicle? I'd like a GT3RS over anything, but between these two I'd take a Turbo S and drop in suspension/bushings/cage until I had a Turbo S RS.
