check for vac leaks
check all grounds
make sure the ecu is seeing 12v
verify idle air/fuel
start with all the regular basics.
I recently took out my transmission and head for upgrades I put everything back together and now I Have a misfire and my boost gauge is reading only 10 to 15 hg at idle before I took it apart it was running great it is a 3 liter with all arp hardware obd1 running c2 with #30 injectors I know the spark plugs are good and gapped right and my wires are brand new can anybody point me in the right direction on how to start to diagnose and fix my problem
check cam timing, may be off a tooth
im going to double check the timing i thought i was dead on i triple checked it when i put the motor together i checked my compression today and it was perfect all across the board it seems to be a misfire on one cylinder just cant figure out which one its obd1
Any misfire codes? Let it idle , and pull each plug wire, the cylinder that doesnt change the misfire is the dead one. I ve seen bent valves on heads from hadling, there is always a valve open once the cams are in, and since there isnt a combustion chamber in the head...
so i pulled the motor apart checked timing rechecked timing everything was perfect put it all back together still misfired pulled each plug wire until i found one that didn't change the noise of the engine checked the wire it was good checked the spark plug turned out to be that all that work for a bum spark plug
