Powered by the 2.0-liter, 200-horsepower four-cylinder and riding on the same 18-inch Mallory alloy wheels featured on the Sport Plus, the R-Line adds the option of a six-speed manual on top of the six-speed DSG transmission.

Exterior changes include a meaner front fascia and round fog lights, sculpted, body-colored side skirts and "shaded" taillights, along with R-Line badging and paddle shifters for the DSG. Otherwise the features list is simply lifted from the Sport Plus.

At the very least they (VW) could have used the Detroit's or Karthoum's on the R-Line.

I love the look of the Detroit wheels, but honestly they've been done to death.

R line is just a trim package, same in Europe. R line mk6 in Europe is just aggressive body styling.

When you have the: .:R, that's supposed to mean serious business. Lol

I hate the refreshed front end on the CC, but this helps it a little bit. If only VW kept the old front with the revised rear.

200HP? Rough. So R line is just an interior/exterior trim package now?

Wish it at least had a better suspension

Give it AWD and the 2.5T and I think that would do it...

It's no different than the S-line from Audi. It works for Audi, and so should it for VW.

Good point as well as the M series for BMW. I just wish they would keep a bigger motor to play with but it just isn't where the company is going.

Yep...there seems to be a lot of misunderstanding among some of the other posters in this thread.

VW R-Line trim bears the same relation to actual R vehicles (like the Golf R) as Audi S-Line trim does to actual S vehicles (like the S4). Basically just an appearance package. Many, many manufacturers do something similar with a "sport" package that gets you all the trimmings of a sports model, just without the associated performance bump.

Wish they'd do the opposite - performance upgrade availability on stripper interior.

Hmm...this car could potentially bring me back to Volkswagen.

...and the CC is expensive already as it is, tack on too much cool stuff and the final price would give customers that much more incentive to look at an Audi.

I like the CC a lot, but I can't believe a 2.0T CC with no leather and a stupid glass roof that only tilts up = $35,355

An A4 with Quattro, a manual gearbox no matter what trim you want, a more powerful 2.0T, real leather, comfier seats, a real power moonroof, xenons/LED's and an Audi badge = $34,875

I totally agree. I'm not sure what exactly VW is trying to do with the CC.. Sucker some idiot into leasing one, to which Audi doesn't even come to that customers mind I guess. I liked like look of the previous CC, I could never justify it, as you said I can have higher quality interior, AWD, more power, imo better appearance out of an Audi A4 for the same money!

I'm kinda wondering that too, but I think the 2.0T is supposed to be the zippy quick engine and the 3.6 is supposed to be the calmer, powerful luxury engine. Though it would make sense.
