Thread: Question about 2.0 AEG oil pan bolts

    I changed the oil pan on my MK4 2.0 AEG and only recognized one bolt (16mm I believe) securing the side of the pan to the trans. In the picture below it's the furthest bolt to the right...



    Where there are two arrows, should there be bolts as well?

    Probably.

    Is the pan threaded on the back side of those holes?

    YES!! they are the same as the one on the right!!

    Yes, the pan is threaded to accept a bolt.

    Guess I'll be looking for some bolts today.

    Any hardware store should have something. Bring the one you have to match up the thread, it's probably m10x1.5, but verify that first.
