my day to work on my car got cancelled do to finding mold on my carpet after a bad rainstorm today. Had to take all the furniture out, gut the flooring, replace the carpet, put all the stuff back in the room. Today was a day from hell. Lets hope tomorrow is better.

I'm just getting stoked about the show so I have to post.

Rudygetz- I have an FF trans, I have plans to use it though because my fifth gear is dying. Do you have other options? Trade?

Southernroads- My Caddy could seriously use having the rear fenders rolled, could you bring yours to the show? I bet you could make a little extra cash with it. hint....hint.....

BTW- tried to PM you but your box is full.

Nash n' Noosh- Look forward to meeting you both and shining your rides with a little drool.

To the organizers- Thanks for putting this together, hope the weather is puurfect.

I will be traveling Saturday morning 6 a.m from work, west on I-10 to 95 south into St. Aug if anyone wants to cruise in together I will be in silver caddy diesel loaded down so 65mph tops.

Stuff I'm bringing to sell/trade:

Caddy tailgate in original beige
caddy fiberglass corners and tail lights
Caddy egg crate grill
all 4 fender flares, front valence and trim from '84 GTI
14" set of nice clean tear drops with center caps (no tires)
13" steelies with caps with brand new Goodyear tires you could drive home on
17" Audi split 5 spokes from an '07 A4 with 2 nice tires, 2 shot out
H&R sport lowering springs for MK1
2 boxes of various and sundry air cooled/ water cooled Vdub parts for your picking pleasure. Willing to trade for hundred dollar bills, beer

, guns, lawyer fees or other....

Not to sure yet. We have a room for fri night. Depending on how close my GTI is I may or may not be driving it. We will leave sometime after 2 and before 6. I have to work Friday.

UPDATE

Us South Florida guys are leaving pretty early on Friday to beat the killer Miami traffic. Us far far south guys are heading out at 6 am and will be meeting up with a few more at the Turnpike Plaza in West Palm Beach around 8am.

If anyone in the area wants to meet us up give us a heads up here.

Also, we are paying for the Flea Market spot out of our pockets. We will be setting up a donation bucket in case anyone wants to chip in to help us recoup our costs for the Flea Market spot rental.

Thanks in advance for anyone willing to donate! And thanks to everyone who's planning to make it out!!! We're almost there!!

145am.... been up since 6am.... currently waiting on the glue for the first section of the second door seals to tack up so I can get these door seals on then finish putting the hardware on the door to keep it closed.. then route the hood cable and hood latch and I think im done for the night...
Have to go get my new front tires mounted tomorrow so looks like its going to take its first trip on the road tomorrow .. about 80 miles worth.

Replacing water pump, injection pump, crank and intermediate shaft seals, and hoping it works. If not be up tonight resealing a pump too...

Thank God it was the injection pump and thank God the one that was in the truck was good. She fires right up.

Time to get some zzzz's. Get up in the morning sometime and go get my tires put on then come back and pack and get ready to hit the road!!

Ok that made no sense. The truck came with a motor that had a busted timing belt. Put a different motor in and at first used the pump with the new motor. Now it's got the pump that came with the truck. Phew

And anyone getting a late start this afternoon and is coming up 95 past Sebastian (exit 156) and woul like to lend a hand. Let me know. I am hoping the only thing keeping my car from starting is clogged injectors. We will see!

sorry to all that i couldnt make it, hopfully this will become an annual event and i can make it next time, im just too broke at the moment

im pushing through the night and polishing up the oxidized paint on the GLI to roll to the APR BBQ tomorrow morning.

at least i can represent the og watercooled at a predominantly mk4-6 event
