Yesterday I went to the Annual GTI National Meeting at Mexico, and it was a pretty nice experience: Excellent food, cars, landscape, products... everything.

Cool meetup.
Isn't Mexico that place where that guy with that E36 and crap driving ability lives? He didn't show?

Maybe I'm getting old but I much rather see these stock cars over the slammed, stretched, poke look.
Someone get these women some heels. lol

Looks like a pretty good show.
It seems like there was a mix of Euro and US-spec GTIs. What's the rhyme or reason behind that? Do people buy cars in the US and import in US-spec models and the Euro ones are official imports via VW of Mexico?

I didn't know the Mexico Volkswagen scene had such nice cars. I am really impressed. These cars look better then the cars they had at Worthersee in Austria.

Great to see Mexican enthusiasts supporting their domestic brand.

Hi Fritz,
Indeed all of the MKIV's R32 were imported from Europe by VW; but some guys later on bought some of them from the US and imported them.
It's funny since for example all the VW Jetta's MKV where built in Mexico they where sold in our market with US specs... On the other hand the VW Golf GTI MKV was directly imported by VW from Germany with US specs.

nice to see how people modify cars in other countries
