You're right, OEM headlights properly aimed should be banned. It's just a brighter bulb, and if he aims them correctly they are no worse than factory bulbs.

Ok here you go, car on left, is "properly" aimed with HIDs in reflector housing...see how the light disperses compared to the HIDs in the projector housing (car on right)? No matter how you aim them the light will still be all over the place unless its in a projector housing.

Mine look nothing like that. That looks like it's not aimed, and through foggy plastic lenses. I will take a picture of mine tonight.

well to everybody rippin me a new one for having h.i.d's in my headlights, it came like that when purchased. I guess i ****ed up in thinking that aftermarkets wouldnt be considered as stock housing, il admit that. i love the look of the hid's though, but if it does become such a problem il just end up changing them eventually. The headlights where never really a big concern to me as i was over-excited about purchasing my coils and rims (soon)

so no need to bash lol.
As for the BOV, some people here are all about performance and whatnot, but its okay...maybe someday il take it out, but as of now il keep it as i really enjoy the sound.

Welcome to vortex. Any time you post pictures of your car this will happen, unless you have 3 piece wheels, air (or coils low enough to ruin the car), and euro parts worth more than the kbb on your car.

Screw paying for OEM projectors, or reps. I have always had HID's in stock housings as long as they are not fluted lenses. I aim them so I can see perfectly, and no one has ever flashed me for having my "brights on" before.

    Keep up the good work.
thanks alot man. Yea i just read what some people say ad w.e, if they get mad about it then w.e some of them have a point, but its my car overall, so we'll see what i do.

The thing is, it is not just a brighter bulb. The arc is running parallel to the car and is actually further out from the reflector surface. A halogen bulb filament is perpendicular to the car and further in. I will draw you a paint picture so you actually understand that it is NOT just a brighter bulb, the actual optics of the reflector are not correct. Dumbass.

I would highly recommend a set of retrofits. Either make them yourself or get rodgertherabit to make you a set. They are decent priced for the quality you get and they are basically the best lighting you can get performance AND looks wise

I'm not the angry type, but I agree. OP, we know you're getting new housing, but as a courtesy to other drivers, put stock bulbs back for the time being.

remember, this is a euro, not a japanese car. we have class well some of us

Look this guy he had to pull out a GIF image post in under 2mins. Here's a tip get a life.. its not even about the HID anymore. Quit hating.

You're right my life is awful. The fact that I'm home at 11:30 on a monday night (with work in the morning) shows that I really should just kill myself

I'm not being a troll I'm being honest. It's you children that give this scene a bad name with your ebay drop in HID's and half ass badge-less grills. I'm not going to compliment anyone who isn't deserving. He can learn to take criticism or go cry to his mommy. I could care less.
