Do you mean the lines in the rear window ? of course I have them. I think VW does not make one single model without rear defroster anymore....

What did your original handle look like?

I have a US 2011 TDI JSW. I do have rear vents, but as someone else mentioned, no cup holder; instead I have an AC power plug there.

Very nice! Good luck with the stereo. I'm curious as to how it will handle the climatronic, MDI and stuff

Sure Zagato : I bought it directly @ www.audiosources.net in China for 450 USD.

The, shipping from China to my country was 120 USD thru EMS. Then, also 4% plus because of the Paypal fee..... not cheap, but a lot cheaper than getting the RDS510, plus a few modules I would have to change.

Thanks. Price sure is better than the oem units you find on ebay or wherever. Did it come with the current maps for the gps (sd card, it looks like)? Don't have the climatronic here in the US wonder how that would/wouldn't work. Works with the MFW, that's good. EQ too, nice. Have to report how it hooks up. Be waiting to hear from you.

A few updates on my Variant :

Installed the AUDIOSOURCES chinese alternative to RDS510 ando so far it works OK. all in one GPS, DVD, Bluetooth, etc.

the GPS antenna, on the dash:

Repaired and repainted the 17" Classixs and added a set of Dunlop Sport 01 size 225-45-17

Added the GTI footrest, power windows buttons and mirror joystich with satin aluminun accents....

Changed the steering wheel clip, it was from a GLI, so i chose the one from the Scirocco, without any legend on it...

Installed the front passenger inside door lock, which wasn't on my Variant due to its euro specification

While I'm studying the Original HID from the GTI mk6, I added some whiter bulbs on city lights, fogs and low beams

Still have to install the EIBACH PRO KIT (from Audi A3 Sportback), and the rear plateholder led lights, also from the GTI mk6...

Nice work on the car so far! Are those plate lights OEM ones? It looks like the entire assembly is one piece.
    '11 Golf Wagon CW DSG | 35% & 20% Tint | Clear Side Markers | LEDs throughout | 18" Talladega | H&R Sport Springs | S53 Whispbars | Thule bike & ski carrier |
Planned Mods: APR Carbonio CAI, AWE Touring Exhaust, Kenwood DNX6990HD

I just happened to notice in those pics of the OP's new audio/nav system that the markings for the rotary air vent controls appear to be backlit.

Does anyone know if the ones on N. American JSWs are as well?? I LOVE backlit switches/controls!

Very nice! I like the mods you made. I also wish they sold the 2.5 5-speed with the "advanced" features in the US.

Yes, it would be nice to have had a sun roof option that didn't mandate a slushbox tranny.
