i just put a new clutch pressure plate / friction disk in my mk4 1.8t gls jetta 5spd.
i have the stage 1 ecs clutch.. and 14lb fly wheel.
i had the fly wheel turned at a machine shop while doing this
replaced throw out bearing / shift fork
replaced slave cyl.
followed the diy on how to bleed it.
everything engages fine.. the pedal feels nice and firm again.. (last clutch felt like stepping into a pot of mashed potatoes)..
HERES MY GRIPE!
i pulled the car out of the garage today.. and to engage the clutch it has to go to the floor.. while pulling out.. theres a huge amount of travel.. then it finally disengages wayyyyy at the top of the pedal.. almost completely out.. if that makes sense..
IS THERE ANYWAY TO ADJUST THAT RELEASE POINT? or does it have to stay that high do to that stupid auto adjusting hydraulic bla bla bla bs?
i just wana move that disengagement / friction point down some.. so when i let off the floor maybe even halfway up it starts to go.. rather then the whole way at the top..
or do i just have to relearn my driving and deal with it?
QUICK ANSWER GREATLY APPRECIATED!
