For those of you that know Wally, you know that he left the PNW a couple months ago. In a few weeks he will be moving to Guam, so this is his official farewell.

We had some great times. Many cruises, shows, and gtg's. Countless late nights in the garage, 16 hour turbo installs, and lots of energy drinks.

Right before he left we got together for a quick photo shoot. He flew in from Singapore, I picked him up and drove back in the rain... and then we had about an hour to take some pics before he had to leave again. So needless to say, the situation was less than ideal. Both cars are a little dirty and his stock (winter) wheels are still on, but we made it happen.

    One from Leavenworth

    Bye Wally!
    The PNW 's you.

The PNW has a special place in my heart. I met a bunch of amazing people and I wouldn't be the VW enthusiast I am today if I never lived there. I really miss the times mentioned above and hopefully work takes me back there in the future. Until then, I'll miss you all.

Thank you Sean for the kind words. You have been one of the best friends I've ever had.

P.S. Don't take for granted the amazing roads in the PNW. I drove from Kitsap to CO, to IL, to VA and I would give my left nut to have Washington's roads back.

GTI will be stored in IL. Our Tiguan is already on its way to Guam.

Thanks man. I might tear up a little lol. You've been one of the best friends I've ever had too. I appreciate all the time you've spent working on my car with me..and just hanging out...and all the times Samantha made us dinner/lunch.
Hopefully you find yourself back here at some point.

True, he might want to buy it so he has something to burn when it really gets cold out though

If there are no stupid questions, then what kind of questions do stupid people ask? Do they get smart just in time to ask questions?

Be careful with that, when my brother was stationed there about 10 years ago, he had a beater car that he had to leave unlocked with nothing valuable inside, doubt they would steal the car, but they will probably look for goods inside the car.

Things may have changed, just good to be aware.

    Thanks man.

I think 2 years will be just long enough for me to start hating and be ready to get out and get back. There's a pretty good chance I'll end up working in Bremerton when I get out so hopefully I'll get to see you all again.
