Gotta love the useless K&N dyno which they use for all their videos. Underrated every single car, and of course this Shelby only made 580RWHP... as opposed to the 609RWHP and 606RWHP previously achieved on differnt dynos. I bet it would make allot more power if they threw in a K&N filter though... would really wake it up on the K&N dyno

Anyways, here is another sub-par video by Motortrend.

Car only hits 196 mph "due to elevation and high air temperature".

I love how these days it's "only" 580rwhp and "only" 196mph.

    Impressive car.

But I am always a bit concerned by top speed runs in non race prepped production cars.
There is no safety cage in the case of a catastrophic failure.

(anybody remember the journalist that died many years ago in an AMG top speed run)

Also, since when is it funny to bring up cars that cost half as much and make fun of how much slower they are?

I don't really see what the OP's issue is. Different dynos in different locales will give different numbers. And, even with a supercharger, hot thin air will reduce power. That ain't rocket surgery.

Unlike the OP, I thought it was a good and thorough review. There's a lot of DIR with this car, from the visual aspect to the performance at this price point.

This car continues to impress me, seriously

Never thought I'd be saying that about a Ford, much less a Mustang but I think I it

I liked the video. Seemed fact-filled with no cheesiness or bias.

Because on the Internets if it doesn't have 1000 hp and can't break into the 9 second 1/4 mile then it is slow. The numbers are impressive for a factory car.
