Neons

I just bought some of the neon sticks that come 2 to pack at Walmart. They are thin blue strips. The packaging says about wiring them into your cars fuse box, they come stock with 12v plug on them. I would like to cut the 12v plug off and wire them into my headlight switch so when I switch on the headlights the neons turn on as well. How can I go about Doing this? Would I wire into the fuse box somewhere for the headlight switch or would I wire directory into the headlight switch itself thanks. And btw its a 2002 Jetta gls these are going into

Yeah I'm serious. I did this with my focus. I'm only asking this because volkswagens are much different than a ford and i don't know much about them yet. So I you knôw please let me know thanks.

I wouldn't wire them directly to the headlight switch. Assuming that they use little power I would wire them to pins 1 (31) and 2 (58) on the instrument light dimmer switch.
