      Tracked it tonight.

These brakes stop. And they stop. And they stop. No brake fade, and they are just the supplied pads from Brembo, which if I remember correctly they are similar, but not the same, to the Ferrodo DS2500. I wasn't doing any 100 - 20 stopping, but a lot of aggressive 60-30ish braking, constantly.

Every time I pressed the pedal it felt like the harder / further I mashed on it, the more the car would stop. No ABS pulsating, not stiff pedal, it just stopped.

I did turn off traction control through the button, and did see the light come on a few times, but when I was really on the car I got it sideways for a bit, didn't really feel like the computers were taking control, I had enough time to react to it.

The suspension feels great, car stays flat, and just goes. Really looking forward to an performance Haldex controller, and rsb. Just need to sort out the stage 2+ first

For any socal people, I ran it at Adams Motorsports Park in Riverside, fastest time of the night was a 50.13... (Which is not too bad for not being there for a year, and not tracking this car yet) All of my runs were pretty consistent with a passenger, I am sure with a little more time and just going solo I could break the 49s, without changing anything else on the car.

      Thanks.

Installed my custom cut Type 3 Brembo Motorsport rear Adam's Rotors tonight. The match is very close to the fronts

Also picked up some smoked side markers from OEMplus, I didn't really like the way my color matched ones looked. Just as temporarys, already spoke to a body shop about taking care of the front bumper

      I don't know how I missed this

I was going to go with those coil overs and brakes. I'm selling my H&R Street Performance SS once the warranty replacements come back

I have had the Street Performance on previous cars.. to bouncy for my liking.

If you are interested in the Bilsteins PM me, I'm thinking about switching things up

I initially painted my stock ones to color match, but the dealer sent me shadow blue.. I decided to buy smoked ones from OEMplus until I have the bumper shaved.

The fitment is good, not 100% oem fit but not enough to make me go crazy.

I have to start by saying thats one great looking car!! before I ask the question I just wanted to say my wife and I are getting back from our deployments and we have a csg 4dr R waiting for us at the dealership!. We are in our late 20's (28) and we are well payed well for our ranks. My question is how are you 19 and able to afford all those luxuries for your car?? I had to almost beg my wife to spend this kind of money on the R haha. Are you a sponsored driver? Like I said before I love your car and even though Im envious, its always nice to look at what my car could look like. Thanks for all the great pictures.

P.S. Dont put yourself into dept while your young. save save save haha. take care

I work a ton, 6-7 days a week 10+ hours a day. No wife or girlfriend to spend money on, and luckily not many bills yet.

I'll have the car paid off within a few months, unless I keep buying expensive parts.
      Thanks for the advice

Installed OEM Non-foglight Smoked LED tail lights They make the rear end of this car look 10x more aggressive.. I love them. Pics up tomorrow.

Also ordered a Borla catback, should be here Tuesday / Wednesday

So today was my 3 month anniversary with the car Spent some time on her,

Installed the Smoked LED tails, still haven't had a chance for day time pictures.

Also picked up a set of stage 1 BFI Engine / Transmission mounts. Was supposed to middle man them for someone else but he backed out... Just temporarys until I decide between the BSH Mounts and the VWR mounts.

Engine mount in.. I don't like the yellow

Old mounts. Still look new for 2000 miles I do like how the Engine mount is stamped Audi, no VW markings at all. (Compared to the mk4-6 mounts which were stamped VWAG)

Really haven't felt a big difference, want something more solid

The Borla catback will be here tomorrow, and the Scorpion downpipe next week. Will be stage2+ just in time for Fastivus.

      I'm envious as well.

I'm older than all of you, have lots of formal education, for which I am still substantially indebted and have been working with a professional license for about a decade. I'm farther out on a limb than I should be on my own Stage 2+ 2012 R. You could be a lot worse off!

Borla Cat back exhaust arrived and installed today

Thanks to Alvin and the guys at Borla, this is one of the first production units, installed on my car just in time for Fastivus next weekend. I have ran Borla units / mufflers on previous cars, the quality is always top notch, and the sound is very rewarding.

The unit is a 2.75 Stainless steel cat-back, mates right up the the stock downpipe.

The tips look amazing, perfectly sized so they will not hit the rear valance, and do not stick out far either. Very happy with the purchase.

I will have some sound clips posted by this weekend, here are some pictures for now.

Sound clip, I recorded a few different clips for you guys.

Thanks, it sounds awesome, I will need to put up some sound clips.

I just received a flyer in the mail from Capo VW, 0% apr for all gas models. Did not have any exceptions, sounds like a great deal if the R is included

      wow amazing work so far!

i have a question for you though. how much gap do you have between the front fender and the tire? i've got the exact same specs for my wheels and i'm going to be buying coilovers soon. i need to make sure my car wont rub like crazy. i've already dont the fender screw mod but i haven't rolled my fenders.

About half an inch, perhaps less.

I really need to find some level ground to measure ground to fender, I measured and wrote it down before but I ended up raising the car slightly due to rubbing.
