I used this iPod adapter in my car for a few years with my double din monsoon stereo in a 2004 Jetta – I believe it fits all monsoon and non-monsoon with cd players, but verify at the enfig site to be sure it fits your car.

It plugs into the cd changer input (cancelling out that feature if that’s an issue) and allows track control via steering wheel and stereo controls. It also charges when the car is on, pauses when you turn off the car, picks back up when you turn on (just like a regular cd).

It’s a direct audio connection meaning your quality is as good as your audio file quality. It is an awesome upgrade for the stereo and I miss it a ton since I sold my car and can’t find anything with anywhere near this functionality with a car that’s 5 years newer!

The cord that runs from the adapter to your ipod was white and I tried painting it black to match my interior as part of the wire was exposed. Bad call on my part and I know it looks messy, but if you’re doing a hidden setup it won’t matter. I ended up just wrapping it in black cloth tape which still looked pretty nice. Or you could always pick up a new cord from enfig, but everything works perfectly.
