Was wondering if you guys can help me figure out what's going on with my girlfriends car. It's a 03 gli and it's flickering the mil and stumbling on hot days. The mil doesn't stay on long enough for my obd scanner to pick up any codes. I have tried coil packs and plugs and it didn't resolve the issue. Also the plunger on the intake manifold keeps actuating at idle... Any suggestions are welcome, unfortunately I don't have access to a vag-com at this time.

Sounds like a crank position sensor to me.. Get codes ran and if p0332, thats most likely your issue.. Does it run fine then fall on its face at 2 grand but will then run right once it cools? Thats what mine did..

Just picked up vag com and noticed that the voltage for cylinder 6 knock sensor is reading zero at all times while the others seem to be reading normal. Would this point to a bad knock sensor or something else? My general understanding was that cylinders 4-6 were all based off of the same sensor.
