Alright, so I filled and after about 1.5 quarts, it started flowing out the side hole.
    Is this normal?

I thought we were supposed to fill it up to 2.1 quarts?

Either way, I took it for a drive after and it feels like butter.
Top it off with the oil change and today's wash, it's niceeee.

hah no need to be jealous!
and thanks VW-G, I'm still due to roll the fenders and purchase the coils, but soon!

I've been driving her over the last couple of days and everything is jiving just nicely.

    Things the car BADLY needs:
    clay bar and wax
oem rubber mats or good oem mats

If anybody has a lead on the latter, I'm def interested.

Other than that, I'm just going to keep knocking out maintenance.
Next up, brakes and wheel bearings.

I just did my M3 and GLX (Both white and show dirt easily) last week, and what a difference. I used the Meguiars kit from AutoZone and it worked great.

    I love the Meguiar's kits.
Most of my cleaning stuff is from them.
Not enough shade and being away from home too often leaves me without time to do this.
But I cannot wait! The car will be like butter when it's all said and done.

I love GAP....but I want to look elsewhere....

labor is on myself, so that's already savings, but ****, always on a budget, ya dig?

PartsHaus.com is a good site to get parts from, prices are reasonable too. They are right by my house so I usually order my stuff and go pick it up

    http://www.partshaus.com/golf/mk3/2-0l/brakes.html

edit: They don't have a huge selection yet, but their main site 'europaparts' is how they started I believe, all Audi stuff. Recently they started doing VW stuff.

Yeah, wish we had a parts place nearby we could drive to.
I checked the link, prices are nice.
But there are no rear rotors, wheel bearings and such.

The plan is to replace brake pads, rotors and bearings all around.
I'd like to spend under $300 for all of it.

    I swapped tails for fun

waiting on the rear nozzle cover piece, and a highline badge.

and I finally found some good mats, thanks to my good bro Joeslow.

I got a lil trigger happy with the degreaser. but they came out well.
