Gunkata, you may want to change the title to 's2t'.

Hey guys,
I was inquiring to the company about when new batches were made and went ahead and asked about a GB for us. Thankfully, they responded that new batches are on the way and that yes, they could do a GB. Product info here : http://www.s2tpp.com/AUDI.html
Plenty of pics and other info also here: http://www.s2tpp.com/Audi-Paddle-Details.html
Per S2T, “The pricing for 10 participants is $195.95 plus shipping. The pricing for 20 or more participants is $169.95 plus shipping.”
We would need to get a list of interested parties and confirm everything is interested. Obviously, the price for 20 would be best here. I’ve seen these in person and they look like very nice pieces. There are two colors to choose from, Black Anodized and Silver Anodized.
If you are interested (and will commit to buying!!), please let me know and as we build up interest, we can keep a list and begin to coordinate with S2T. Payments would be made direct to S2T.
Thanks!
John

Believe it or not, the installation is not too difficult and doesn't take long at all... 20 minutes... max! I installed a set in my old R32 and it was one of my favorite mods.
Hopefully they can.
I'll probably go with a Black set but, I was also thinking about a custom finish...

Even at the discounted rate, the paddles still seem pretty pricey. Its just a milled chunk of aluminum, I would buy if the +- was lit. I'll pass.

I'll either find a good mechanic friend to do them or pay my shop .5hrs to do it, lol. no biggie.
Black for me too.
That's because they are real replacements/connectors, not extensions, even some extension pieces can cost $100 or more that I've seen. All good.

all that work removing the old one and replacing with this, and you don't get LED lit paddles? Maybe the krazy glued ones are better

LEDs? your eyes should be on the roada lot of hate on these - if the price is too much or you are not interested, please by all means, do not post in this thread then.

Personal opinion but I think that style looks so cheap. I'd buy TID one over that any day
IBIS WHITE A3 SUPER SLOW

The TID's are pretty expensive and I don't really want/ need anything that crazy looking either. They ahve one model that is like $500 and another that is $299 - while STILL only using 3M adhesive. These are aluminum and are actually put onto your steering wheel, looks just like Evo MR paddles, not sure whats so cheap about it
nothing "wrong" with the stock ones. For some who like larger ones or go to track days etc, you may want larger paddles. My god, I thought BMW boards were bad...![]()

The ST2 paddles attach just like the oem paddles: that's what I want!

are you interested, and if so, what color?
OK, tell all the engineers making the larger OEM ones for high performance sportscars and supercars that they are idiotsWhen I'm doing 120mph+ at the race track, downshifting into a turn, I dont want to have any guessing on properly grabbing the paddle. While you are technically correct that if you hands are at 3 and 9 it shouldnt be an issue, but again, some may WANT something bigger. If you dont like it, you dont need to **** in this thread buddy.

Most high performance cars with paddles have them in a fixed position. I've always felt the Audi and BMW design of paddles rotating with the wheel was a flawed design. Making them bigger seems to exacerbate this flaw IMO but I can understand the desire. Over time, you will get used to whatever you have there so to each his own. I will say that if you are going anywhere near 120 in your a3 and your hands are anywhere other than 9 and 3 and the wheel is any more than a few degrees off center the position of your paddles are the least of the problem.
Also, welcome to the forum. Lots of pics here: http://forums.fourtitude.com/showthr...78882-9mu8-101.![]()

But, you drive an Audi...
I had a set of these installed in my R32 and I never had a problem selecting the proper gear in the dark.![]()
These are much better than the 3m tape paddles... I had a set of those on my R32 as well. I like the fact that the S2T paddles install like OEM.

I'll agree that the OEM design may be flawed but, I've never had any issues or even thought it was an issue having larger aftermarket paddle shifters on my steering wheel.
Hey, I like the larger paddles... or, is it because I have small hands?
The factory Audi paddles are much better than the stock VW's but, I still believe that a slightly larger aftermarket paddle shifter, like the S2T version, will definitely make the manual operation of the DSG experience a whole lot better and more enjoyable!![]()

Its a design preference. the cars with the batwing sized paddles indicates that you should not shift when turning so they make no provision for shifting when you steering wheel is turned beyond 90 deg. But that is old school thought with their single clutch automated transmission. Look at new school cars like the McLaren MP4-12C that carries no legacy luggage, they got small paddles that turns with the wheel.
Also, when making huuuuge paddles, they will end up blocking all the stalks behind it, thus you end up with Ferrari putting everything on the steering wheel.
#32
^^^^
I understand what you mean...
However, I've never had issues with the S2T paddle shifters blocking or interferring with my turn-signal or wiper stalks in my R32 but, I wouldn't categorize the S2T paddle as being huge either (they are a couple inches larger than oem).
To each there own I guess.

For that price I would fiberglass resin 2 $100 bills and use them as paddles. BTW I have had my car on the track over 50 times and have never been going 120mph and couldn't find the paddle. If you are having this problem maybe keep it in D or S or stay off the track, jus' saying.
Oh and supercars comes with bigger paddles because money can't buy skills.
