Help locating ABS Pump Unit, #357614111

Hi Vortex,

I'm the owner of a 92 Corrado VR6 that I'm putting some life back into. Its 20 years old and I can't imaging getting rid of it. After some time hibernating it is up and running as a temporary commuter.

I've been taking it to Woodings garage near me in Allston, MA since my brake system seems weak and I believe the rear brakes aren't engaging the rotors. After Woodings diagnosis the reason my brake system isn't as strong as it once was is that the ABS unit (ABS light currently ON) has been diagnosed as needing replacement (part umber 357614111).

Dealer price for this part is an astronomical $2500, I've found it listed for $2000 at vwpartsdept.com. Anyone have any tips on locating a remanufactured/used part/or cheap genuine parts resource? This ABS unit is one of several repairs with the car so I'm hoping to keep this cost low. Thanks for the tips....

Try looking for a car being parted out in the classifieds, or search for a Vw specific bone yard. I was looking through the "employment" forum and there is a Vw bone yard down in Texas. Post a want add in the classifieds too.
