Well, we finally went and bought one.

Yep, bought a Tornado Red base car. We had gone in with the intention of ordering a sunroof car but he had the base car in stock and made us an offer we couldn't refuse. I promised I wouldn't post the exact numbers but the discount was way below invoice.
Threw in a roof rack and a pair of bike carriers as well. Me and the misses are happy campers. Plus, today is the 8 year anniversary of me buying my R32. What a nice anniversary present. She now has a worthy stable mate. 
And if love remains, though everything is lost, we will pay the price but will not count the cost. -Neil Peart

Congrats on your new car! I thought I did good earlier this month on my purchase of a sunroof R at just above invoice (can't really complain, though as nearly every VW we have purchased from our dealer has been way below invoice... and I was happy with my deal).
Great choice of color, btw. Both my new R and my 08 R32 are Tornado Red. Best color available (in the US) for this car, imho.

Thanks guys. I had my heart set on a sunroof car but when you get a deal like this, you can't say no. I love the red. Hope it doesn't peel like the MKIV R32s did.

Congrats. Glad to see you got a great deal. There was a dealer in GA that wanted to charge 38k for a loaded 4dr.

The only option I really wanted from the loaded package was the sunroof. I still find kessy to be a bit of a gimmick, and at my age I really don't hear the difference in the Dyna audio vs non dyna audio, but at the price, it really was a no brainer when it came time to order. Congrats. I wouldn't even consider getting the Tornado Red to avoid cops. Then I got two tickets in one night in my CSG.
