'13 pre-ordered

The Beetle is going to the dealer in the next week or two while we wait for our 2013 black on black TDI SEL Premium. The pre-order was put in the system on the 24th, rumor is that is enough for an August delivery. We're going to be a few months without a VW but the wait should be worth it. My wife is very attached to her beloved Beetle Convertible and leaving the dealer with nothing but hopes of the new car coming in some day is a lot tougher than driving a new car home.

Does anyone else have a pre-order in for a '13 yet?

I meant for the title to say '13, not '12. Are there any mod's that can fix it?

I ordered a 2013 Tungsten/Black TDI SEL from Chris @ Langhorne VW 5/25/2012. I wanted the backup camera, rear vents and figured that a 2013 will always be worth a little more than a 2012.

The prices havn't been released yet. They will not be until the cars hit the port.

So you order the car... presumably put down a deposit... but they won't tell you the price?

i have one of these supplier discount cert number that i can probably use on it...i think it gets me invoice pricing...better than a premium i guess!

No deposit for me. We're pre-trading our current VW and the money is going in escrow until the new car arrives. The dealer agreed to just write me a check for the trade if we, for any reason, decide to go with another car or just take the money for other reason's. They know we're serious about the '13 Passat so they're not worried about us backing out.

They would tell me the price, if they knew it... The price difference hasn't been released yet but it shouldn't be much more than the '12's at all. I expect it to be a little higher than the '12 but they'll work with me a little here and there to get it where I need it. This dealer doesn't do market adjustments (mark ups) or anything but havn't come off the sticker price much due to the demand.

if you look at the vw website...take a look at the base passat...it's about $600 higher now. it used to be priced at 19,995 and now it's 20,590. im assuming now that 2012's are orderable anymore, these are the 2013 prices...
