I have been wanting to try a PCA autocross event for quite some time now. I finally got a chance to attend last month, its great fun - 11-12 runs in the day (4 morning practice/ 4 afternoon practice/ 4 championship runs)

Who: Porsche Club of America Orange Coast Region will be hosting the event
What: Autox @ El Toro! $65 for PCA members $75 for non-PCA members
When: 10th of June 2012
Where: El Toro Airfield at the Orange County Great Park

Well you know $30k Jetta with Porsche engine, you know those people who circle jerk to mk3s but have never ever been on a track with them.

Now, we have a thread on a "$200k invested into this R32, makes 750awhp, can make 900 on race gas but this car is NOT a race car and has never been to a race track, for sale asking $50k."

I swore they said the next OCR PCA autocross is a Zone 8 event, meaning you cannot join if you are not a Porsche owner/member. I could be wrong though. Apparently their website isn't doing so great

I'm pretty sure that non-Porsche cars can drive at zone 8 events since they have a box for x-class cars (non porsche) in the registration form but it seems that the X class is all sold out now.

IIRC the last event I was driving at was zone 8 too.
