I recently snapped the water pump stud reassembling my 16V:

I attempted to buy two new double-ended studs from ECS, but it appears the one for the BELT side is no longer available anywhere. Are they still available from the dealer?
http://www.ecstuning.com/Volkswagen-...r_Pump/ES7326/
It's part # 051260821 and # 051260821A
I tried to get these from the local parts place (Euclid Foreign) but they don't have them either.

Thanks. I just hope this isn't a repeat of ECS; they listed the studs as 'in stock' and 'ships in 1 - 3 days' just like Impex, but they didn't actually have both bolts.
ECS has always been good to me and this is a part for a nearly 25 year old car, so I can cut them some slack on this one.

The 051 260 821 is discontinued, the number with the A suffix is available, but only they're in Vancouver BC
Deal with it.

If you are really in a pinch, just use a threaded rod and a nut. The OEM one would be nice to have, but it's a solution.![]()

@ OP [ SSB ]:
yep I know of at least one VW parts guy here (this forum). If you don't find what you need through your local stealership, PM me and I'll see if Mr. X is willing to help.

Volkswagen's POC shows that one dealership in TN supposedly has six in stock; you may be able to get one sooner from them by calling them up with your credit card and have them ship it to you via USPS or FedEx. If you're stressed for time, that is, and don't want to wait for a week for one to show up at your local dealer from Canada.
(Hallmark VW at Cool Springs, Franklin TN is the dealer that shows they have six on hand)

My name is Bryan. I also know how to do Hyundai and Suzuki, and we just picked up Fiat as well but I have not been trained on the Star Parts catalog yet. Volkswagen is my area of expertise, I love the ETKA catalog like no other.

Well yeah and of course... but I didn't want to "out" you without checking first.
To all y'alls, Carl (ginster86roc) knows his schiite, he am have MkII Scirocco (perfect and pristine), and is an all-round good guy.
The only gripe I have with the guy is that one of us is mis-spelling our name.

Ok, I guess I forgot to mention our dealer # is 422228 and our facing depot is L.A.
I'm not master certified yet, but working on it.. Been with VW for about 3.5 years, BAP Import parts here in AZ for 5.5 (we specialized in VW) and I worked for Rocky Mountain Motorworks in Colorado for 2 years, doing VW parts ofcourse.. I do also do Hyundai parts now as well, as we are a Hyundai/VW dealer, but I MUCH prefer VW, that's all I drive, and now all my immediate family does as well. I was big into aircooled's for a long time, until I got my first watercooled, an '87 GLI back in '96.
