I have not tried launch control yet. Got flashed for 5400 rpm. Shawn VanNeer, who flashed it at vNd has an R with it and said it is waaay fun at the higher rpm. Anyway, I have not tried it yet. Is it the same as my old launch control: S or M mode, DSG warmed up, ESP off, hold brake, rev up and release brake? More specifically, can you launch at rpms lower than the max 5400? My HPA flash had to be at the pre-programmed rpm, any lower at it felt like it was slipping like crazy.

Yup, works the same. It's all about how you control the throttle off the line in preventing the clutch slipping. I found that I rev to 5000, release brake, wait for the front wheels to chirp, then I give full throttle. If I give full throttle before the chirp, it will slip the clutches.

I did a test the other day since putting the cams in and I got 4.3 0-60 and 2.0 60ft using pocketdyno...

...and keep your fingers on the paddle. Redline in first comes stupid quick.

especially if you launch @5500, you're practically almost in redline already, hahaha

Thanks guys. The HPA launch had to be right at the set point and no lower. If it stays wet, I might try to get a video somewhere today or over the weekend.

With the increase in flywheel problems I'd be interested to know how often people use LC.....

I haven't tried mine yet, no reason has come up yet.

I'd guess I use it no more than a dozen times a year.

I went a few years without using it at all, but Auto-x benefits from it. And I've had one track pit boss/flag captain guy say he wants to hear tires chirping when he waves us onto the track.

    Tires chirping, check!

I used the LC the second day I had the car. I just had to see what it was all about. LOL it was great. I had the wife and our 4 year old boy in the back seat. Ready, set, GO. Then the sound of 3 heads hitting seat rests in unison! LC for the world!
    ITS MINE!!!! ALL MINE!!!! HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAAA
