Fml. Anyone else have this problem? Think my motor mounts are getting soft... If there was enough movement in my engine for this to happen...

Confirm that this is my lower radiator hose! I ordered one from the dealer and it will be here Monday. Until then I'm stuck with my crappy "fix" and this

Dont worry, fresh g12 was purchased so when the new hose get here it'll be vw specific!

yes its happened it is a normal problem.I fogot exactly why it does happen.I did read a post on hear sometime ago about this. I would suggest checking your mounts and I believe there is a plaactic clip that holds the hose .Not 100% sure but if you search you might find the topic.

Well it must be one of my mounts that caused the clip to come away from the hose because now the motor mount as become soft. The motor rocks forwards and backwards!

I can't find anything about the 24v motor mount setup yet but I'll keep looking.
Looks like I'm going to be putting stage 1 motor mounts on this sucker.

I had the same exact problem! It happened to me because my radiator mount broke and it was the fan that was moving, not the coolant hose or engine. I think it stemmed from me hitting an unavoidable road come that was in the middle of the street and it got somewhat stuck under my car. I wish I could tell you what exactly was broken but I was in a position where I couldn't work on my car so I had to let the stealership do it. And of course they didn't fix it right the first time....Hope this helps

Dogbone mount sheared a mounting bolt
All fixed with a Dogbone I had lying around the shop.

After I pulled this sucker out!

All fixed! Might splurge on Bfi stage 1 mounts just to keep that motor from doing this again!

I had that happen a couple years ago.. one of the smaller hoses came out of its plastic holder.. it was a hose that ran from the electric water pump.. theres multiple hoses on this one set up..

I just ran to Home Cheepo and grabbed a brass barb fitting and some hose clamps, have not had a problem since.. Think the hose was like $100+ for the setup..barb fitting cost me $1 and the hose clamps were free from work...

this just happened to me. thankfully i noticed a little bit of smoke coming from the front of my car. temp gauge was still dead center and dummy light never lit up. there was very little coolant left in the expansion tank when i popped the hood.

Noticed this on mine too, the hose was just loose and rubbing, I tied it in place with a few tie wraps, so it don't move about too freely
