FSI or TSI? FSI not so much because it still uses the restrictive engine cover. And there was no change in sound from my experience. Grab a neuspeed or one of the many other filters on a stick.

Is anyone using the APR Carbonio cold air intake on a 2008 GTI? If so, what do you think of it? Any change in the engine sound? Do you think it's worth $300? Thanks!

Zero change in sound but it is mostly a revised filter that goes in stock location Maybe a slight improvement high rpm 5K and up. Running GIAC stg 1 chip. According to APR this flows well enough to support KO4. I plan on going APR KO4 so I can chk this off my to buy list. However 300 bux for the Apr which is a nice carbon fiber vanity piece and a drop in filter seems awfully overpriced. I only bought it because of the price from forum member.

I have a tsi myself and noticed a change in the sound of the turbo. U can actually hear it after install. Lol. However, get the intake then get stage 1. U will feel like u have a mini jet turbine under your hood! But with all seriousness, I was almost overwhelmed when stepping on or for the first time

For fsi, I just went with the vwr air filter apr sells. Couldn't be happier.
