Surprise wedding? Don't these things take tons of money and planning?

  15. 06-02-2012 12:16 PM #16
Thanks guys. I knew I could count on you guys responding in your own special way.

Surprise wedding = The guest don't know the event they are attending is a wedding until they arrive.

And my soon to be wife is very suportive of my interest in cars, successful and makes more money then I could hope to ever earn. I'm cool with that.

    Ok, please resume your taunts.

I would be mad if you had me come somewhere and it turned out to be your wedding. I would kick you in the nards. Guests need time and preparation to get ready to sit through your tacky wedding that will 90% end up in a divorce Kind of a Dick move man

    Speaking of dick moves...
Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.

I'm sorry you don't have friends like I and many other people do. My friends are very supportive of my decisions and the one's that I've told are very excited about the idea. I hope you make new friends that can support and love you. People like that are wonderful to have around. Start looking soon.

Hey Zuck - you pulled this stunt a couple of weeks ago. You won't get us this time.

As for the more money thing - yeah she's a doc and your stock in FB is dropping like a lead balloon. Good thing you married up.

Not much of a surprise as originally thought, then.

If i ever get invited somewhere and it turns out to be a "surprise wedding" i'm leaving. Don't care if it's my best friend. NO SURPRISE WEDDINGS SOME OF US HAVE SOCIAL FEARS AND NEED PREPARATION TO ATTEND SUCH VILE EVENTS

The idea that he thinks starting a marriage with a big lie is a good thing is rather troubling...

Anyone want to place some bets on how long this spectacle of a marriage lasts?

18 months and it will be a messy end; cheating.

This is the main reason that If I'm invited to a wedding and there is no alcohol I claim some sort of religious excuse for not going.

Then I guess your friends and family are gonna figure something is going on when you show up to the door dress up in a rental Tux and she is in a wedding dress or that the local priest (religious or govenrment representative) is hagging out at your place.
Why yes; that she tropper has sideburns...

a wedding without booze would be basically impossible to attend.

As in... SHE doesn't know about it?

    Good luck with that

EDIT: Just saw that it's the guests being surprised. Kind of figured that anyway.

No suggestions as to what to drive away in, but my instinct would be a 1970s era land yacht like this:
