I love trolls. It very entertaining way to lighten things up before the party.

No one is getting surprised about us getting married. They've all been invited to our engagement party. We gave food and booze and have planned for it to be a rather laid back event at our house. We're just eliminating the need for everyone to attend another an aditiinal event later. We're just adding in a very simple exchanging of vows to the engagement party. And if I had any idea that it would be uncomfortable for one of the guests for the surprise I would certainly let them know agead of time. And yes, I'm pretty certain I would know if they we're, I've only invites my closest friends and family. I care about all of them and woyld never want to put them through something that would make them uncomfortable. Besides, If they had a problem with an wedding, I think they would decline attending a wedding. But not everyone has the great people surounding them that I do, and to that I hope everyone here someday has that opportunity.

If you're getting married today... why are you spending your time on the Vortex? Shouldn't you be enjoying the day with your wife?

OH DEAR GOD SO MUCH THIS.

Aspie's child here and I don't do well with most social situations as it is. Throw a surprise wedding on me? There had better be hard alcohol there otherwise I'm not going to survive.

I read about someone who did the same thing, they just wanted their friends and family to relax and enjoy with the hassle of dressing up or gifts.

Congrats - I vote any Porsche

    Good luck with that

EDIT: Just saw that it's the guests being surprised. Kind of figured that anyway.

No suggestions as to what to drive away in, but my instinct would be a 1970s era land yacht like this:

Speaking of which, I'm driving my baby down to Austin this weekend so my buddy can use her in his wedding. I'm such a nice groomsman:

believe it or not I wish that were the case. But no, no surprise babies. Though it was a pretty awesome wedding. We had a blast. We even hired a food truck that only serves Mac and Cheese. Thats right, curb side freakin Mac and Cheese!

At least at a surprise wedding you aren't expected to bring a gift.

I guess you missed my last post. It went really great. Better then I could ever have hoped for. Everyone had an amazing time. The weather was amazing and the whole party had a great summer back yard get-to-gether feel. The ceremony was short, simple and on the front porch. We had a bunch of super delish pie instead of cake ( from Dangerously Delicious Pies. If your ever in DC or Baltimore you should really check them out) We hired a food truck called CapMac. They only serve mac & cheese. Set up right in front of the house and it was awesome! Everyone had a blast and couldn't stop talking about how great the wedding turned out.

So for a photo request thread, this one's seriously lacking photos. What car would you guys use as a wedding car? Maybe you guys would rather have a car to race away in fear leaving the bride hanging at the alter?

Nope, Idiots are the leading cause of divorce.
People that idiotically jump into failures of marriage with people they 'love', yet barely know each other.
Idiotic things like 'surprise' weddings only help those divorce rates grow...

    or spontaneously combust

all similar to a real marriage
